STEP 1
First step in copying a protected game is to find out what disk protection it is using and to do that you need to download a very useful tool called A-ray scanner and do a scan.

STEP 2
Once you know what disk protection your game is using you will need another tool to create an image of the game disk. The best option is Alcohol 120% (this is only a 15 day trial).
Install alcohol 120% (requires restart) and run it.

STEP 3
Click on the image making wizard, select your games disk protection (datatype) and newer games will require you to use Data precision measurement (with high precision) which takes a lot longer, but more successful.

STEP 4
Choose the location of the image you want to create and name of the image and always select Media descriptor image file as the image format.

STEP 5
Now it will start creating an image file of your game. This could take a while depending on size of disk, precision measurement and your computer hardware.

STEP 6
Once the image file is created, click Virtual drive (options) and select how many virtual drives you want.

STEP 7
Right click the image file and select mount on device and choose the virtual drive you want to mount your game onto.

Run the game!!!
STEP 8 (OPTIONAL) If the game does not work you will need to run A.C.I.D (which is part of alcohol 120%) and cloak the virtual drive.
